These are pretty outdated since I haven't been pregnant for over 3 weeks! HA! But, Laine just finished editing them and they turned out really great! We went to a park in north west LA (Malibu) area called Paramount Ranch Park. It's so cool!! It's a mini "wild west" town with trails all around. It actually is the set for many movies and shows including Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman! Anyway, we hung out for a little while and got some shots! Enjoy!

He's here! And makes me oh so happy!! My heart has just been overflowing with emotion of blessings! My sweet two year old is so full of life and fun and makes me laugh and has such a big heart. Then I have another baby boy who couldn't scream for hours to make me mad (although I'd rather not test that theory). He's a lot more communicative than his older brother was at this age (3 weeks already?!?!??) which I actually enjoy, but it brings a new level of exhaustion to the house and we are ALL adjusting to the changes (even Chia!). How it HappenedI actually like to start my story the night before I went into labor. We went to downtown Disney to meet some family from Alaska for dinner! It was a really nice visit with some great family and then we cruised downtown Disney for a couple hours. We got home safely that night with only a few small contractions and was tucked in and sleeping by midnight! But around 5 the next morning, I started having full blown contractions and an hour later, we were on our way to the hospital! Only 8 hours of labor and 1 hour and 15 minutes of pushing later, when we got to meet our new baby boy!!! We were so blessed with friends visiting, sending food and gifts, and helping with Keane! We had a lot of visitors around the time he was born, so I have more pics to post! And my moms camera has most of the really good shots, so I might be posting some more of the hospital, etc... hopefully I'll be doing another post soon!!
love, love, jessica Did you know that I have been completely drained of energy, therefor no family blogging updates? Did you know that LA has had the hottest September in history last week? Did you know that being 9 months pregnant during a record breaking heat wave is misery? Of course you didn't know these things because I haven't done an update in forever!!! Not too much to update on, really. So maybe that's why I haven't been very inspired on blogging. Here are some random things throughout the last couple months... baby showerWe had a fun little joint baby shower with some great friends, the Liu's, from church! They recently delivered their fourth child, and first daughter!! Very exciting! It was a fun shower with lots of fun for the kids and family!! OH and amazing food!!! family visitMy parents came for Labor Day weekend and brought our niece, Amia!! It was so much fun to see the kids bonding! We had a great time together!! And one more cute one just because he's just so squeezable!! Hoping to get some more updates in soon!! And stay regular again!!
Many Blessings, Jessica Our summer has been filled with family fun! And that's pretty awesome since we don't have very much family close by! The first week of July we spent time with Auntie Lindsay and cousin Landon! We got to spend an evening at Castle Park and ride some rides! It was very fun! 4th of julyOur 4th has to be the best one I've had in a long time! We started with a late breakfast, then play time at the park with the frisbee and soccer ball! Then to cool us off, we had shaved ice!! YUMMY!!! That night, we met up with Auntie Lindsay and cousin Landon to watch a fun game of soccer at the LA Galaxy field and ended with a fun fireworks show! Birthday at Knotts Berry FarmMy birthday was so wonderful! I loved being able to spend it with our sweet family! We had been able to spend some time with Auntie Lindsay and cousin Landon at Knotts Berry Farm before they had to jet back to home in Hawaii! Keane LOVES his cousin and Auntie!! And was very sad to have to say goodbye! Hopefully we will see them soon!! Last week we got to spend a day at the San Diego Zoo with Grandma Faye from Hawaii!! We had a great time!! Panda viewing! They only had a couple pandas, but they were so close! Keane loved them!! Then we ended our visit together with a yummy dinner! We LOVE Grandma Faye!! Baby BoyWe had our 3D ultrasound appointment and loved the outcome! It makes him seem like he's right there! We can't wait to actually squeeze our new baby! He's so active in there. And healthy as well. I'm 26 weeks now and everything is just flying by! Can't believe I'm going into my third trimester already! I remember it being all down hill from there, so we have a lot to do to prepare!!
God Bless you friends and family! ~Jessica VBSLast week was Keane's first VBS experience. Although it was mostly cause I was leading parts of it, he got to hang out with the older kids! But he loved it and loved being with the older kids! We learned new songs, scripture, did a few activities including tie dying shirts!!! I made a little clip with the song performances at the end. So cute!! Father's DayWe did a little prep for Father's Day with a painting project at home and learning a fun Father's Day song to preform at church! The sunday school classes all did a little something for Father's day at church this Sunday. So cute to see the little ones up there!! We had a very fun week!
Pregnancy update... I am now 24 weeks! Can't believe how fast time is going by with this one! I am learning to balance both rest and preparing for new baby, plus doing my other responsibilities! Thank God for my sweet husband who is so patient and understanding! He helps so much! And Keane is growing so much! How blessed am I?!? Please keep me and baby in your prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy! Many Blessings xox Happy belated Mother's Day! We had a quiet mother's day. Went to church where Keane performed his first Mother's Day performance! SO SWEET!!! If you can believe it, Keane finally has had a haircut!! Oh-MY-GOODNESS!!! He's so handsome!!! Last week was one of the hottest weeks here in LA in a long time!! For some reason, Keane has been into the Peanuts Christmas movie! He brings it to me asking, "Thnowman?" SO cute!! Makes me miss winter, for sure! But we've been keeping cool by visiting the pool and beach time!!
We had our 2nd semester appointment for baby this last week and everything seems to be fine so far! We are waiting for our ultrasound coming up this week to hopefully reveal the gender and to be sure baby is growing well!! Please keep us in your prayers!! Until next time! I have to say, I am sincerely surprised to have so many faithful followers on this website! Sadly, there's hasn't been a blog update in over 2 months, but you still come back to check on us! THANK YOU!!! Any given day we can have as little as 10 to as many as 200 views! And I thought our little lives were so boring! HA! I must be wrong! Well, the big question is, "What have we been doing?" NOTHING!! I've been a sick mama with persistent morning sickness all day and night for the past couple months. My poor family has been sitting on the sidelines waiting through it so we can get moving on with our normal life. Finally at 16 weeks now, I can say, I haven't been nauseous or sick in 2 weeks!! The biggest hiccup in this pregnancy was an uninvited wisdom tooth that gave me, well, HELL!!! It caused severe swelling to the point I couldn't open my mouth. It was so painful, but no dentist would touch me till after my 2nd trimester! So I waited with the pain and frustration for 2 weeks before it was removed. Praise the Lord, it has been removed and everything has gone down and back to normal!! Keane did come down with a little flu bug a couple weeks ago, but we made it through with tylenol and candy to wash it down! And Keane did find fun little ways to keep himself entertained while I was sick... like a new hobby of barricading himself with the couch cushions and pillows. Can't believe how fast Easter came and went already! We had a quiet and humble Easter. This was the first year Keane actually cared about Easter eggs and candy and the toys in the basket. He's actually never met an "Easter Bunny" since I'm not too huge on it myself, but, there's a huge pink bunny in someone's front yard we pass everyday to go to the church and he gets so excited every time he sees it!! lol it's pretty funny, actually! He's like, "BUNNY!!!" Anyway, here's Keane Easter morning with his little basket of goodies. I do have so much more to share and I have to work on getting my next couple entries all organized and ready for you. Hope this will hold everyone over for a little while!
Many blessings! ~Jessica It's been long since my last entry, so sorry for that! But we have an announcement to make... WE ARE EXPECTING! YAY!! Now for the long 9 month journey till he/she arrives! Laine has been making videos for the church for some promotional events and experimenting on our family outting days. So, here are some fun videos for you!! I'm so sorry I haven't been updating, I have been a little queezie and uneasy and resting as much as possible! But I have it in my mind to do some more fun updates.
Many Blessings! I never really did a Christmas update. I would love to share some of the fun things we did. Christmas Eve we have a tradition of opening one gift before bedtime. YAY It was a very Merry Christmas! Hope you all had a blessed holiday season! Sorry this is so late! It's getting me excited for next year already! hehe
